  1. On a clear morning the Annapurnas catch the first light while the boats on Phewa Lake are still at rest.

  2. Eggs cooked to order, fresh juice and Nepali plates beside the continental ones. Then coffee in the garden.

  3. Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Swim to the edge and look across the lake to the World Peace Pagoda.

  4. Then the steam room or sauna. Right after a long trek, or a long flight.

  5. A short walk downhill. Row out to Tal Barahi Temple and back as the hills turn gold.

  6. A Himalayan herb cocktail at Chautari Restro & Bar, then dinner from the grill.

  7. Lakeside glows below the hill. Up here, you'll hear crickets and then nothing at all.

When we built Bar Peepal, we didn't want another concrete hotel on the Lakeside strip. We wanted a chautari: a place on the hillside where travelers could put their load down, breathe, and be looked after like family.

That is why we built in stone and carved timber, why our kitchen cooks the dal bhat we grew up on, and why our team will learn your name. Thousands of guests have rested in our shade. Many come back. I hope you will be one of them.

How far is Phewa Lake?

About five minutes' walk downhill to the Lakeside strip and the shore. The resort sits on Mani Marg, Street No. 28, just above the noise.

Do you pick up from the airport?

Yes. We run a shuttle to and from Pokhara International Airport. Send your flight details on WhatsApp and we'll be there.

When is the pool open?

The rooftop infinity pool is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

When are the restaurants open?

From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, across Chautari Restro & Bar, Lamjung Kitchen, the Dining Hall and the Coffee Shop.

Is there Wi-Fi and parking?

Yes to both: fast Wi-Fi throughout the resort, and secure parking for guests.

Can I store luggage while I trek?

Yes. Leave what you don't need with us and collect it when you're back from the trail.
